The Hach Ht200s High temperature thermostat can be used for a range of Hach Lange LCK cuvette tests to increase the speed of the digestion.

With high speed digestion technology (HSD), the HT200S is a great solution for the busy lab, speeding up digestion times for a range of tests, saving time and money. It can produce COD results in just 35 mins, which is a massive time saving of around 2 hours and it can heat from 20°C to 148°C in just 8 minutes (20% faster than the Hach LT200).  Cooling of the vials occurs in 13 minutes or under by means of a double fan cooling system.

 

Whilst working quickly, it can be so easy to compromise safety, but the HT200S unit has a number of safety features which include the automatic locking of the unit lid during digestion, preventing burns. Using Hach LCK/LCW vials means that all chemicals come pre-dosed reducing the chance of contact with the user.

Unit details:

  • The unit can hold up to 12 Hach round cuvettes and reaction tubes (20mm). To use the 13mm cuvettes, you must use the cuvette adaptor which is included.
  • It comes programmed with three standard heating (100°C, COD 148°C, HT) and cooling programs as well as the ability to use nine possible user-specific programs.
  • Safety locking lid (lid is locked at temperatures above 80°C on all programs apart from COD where it is locked above 100°C).
  • LCD screen displaying time and temperature.

The Hach Ht200s is supplied with 12 x 20mm holes with inserts to make them 13mm which means each position can be used for either a 12mm digestion of a 20mm prep vial.

Overview of the compatible tests

In addition to COD digestion, the HT200S can also decrease the digestion time for other methods, including total phosphate, total nitrogen, total metals, chromium, silver and tin. It can also be used for TOC however does not decrease digestion time compared with a standard thermostat.
