PCR PLATES

Five basic plate designs are currently offered, compatible with the majority of popular thermal cyclers and sequencers. All plates are manufactured to exacting specifications using the highest grade polypropylene. For complete assurance, plates are routinely certified free from DNase, RNase, DNA and detectable PCR inhibitors.

FLAT TOP: This plate does not have a skirted side. A low rim around the top of each well helps to prevent accidental cross-contamination. Available in both standard and low-profile well format. Orientation cut is at position H12.

CHIMNEY TOP: Has no side skirt and the top of each well stands approximately 5mm up from the plate matrix. Available in 96, 48 and 24 well format, standard profile only. Orientation cut is at position H12.

SEMI SKIRT: Has a skirt on the side which drops approximately 7mm down from the plate matrix. A low rim around the top of each well helps to prevent accidental cross-contamination. Available in both standard and low-profile well format. Orientation cut is at position A12.

SEMI SKIRT (RAISED CORNER): This plate has low supports, approximately 3.5mm high, at each corner, sufficient to support a second plate on top.

FULL SKIRT: Has a full skirt approximately 15mm high. A low rim around the top of each well helps to prevent accidental cross-contamination. Only available with low profile wells. Orientation cut is at position A12.

SEALING MAT: The silicone rubber 96 well sealing mat is designed for PCR machines with pressure-fit lids and designed to create an effective seal with the majority of popular PCR plates.The mat can be autoclaved or cleaned in a bleach solution.
