A newly developed organic binder system results in an outstanding hard silica layer. The plate can be easily marked, e.g. with a lead pencil for clear identification.
Very high abrasion resistance
No formation of dust
Due to the very high abrasion resistance, the formation of dust on the surface of the ADAMANT is minimized. The abrasion resistance prevents undesired changes, or damage to the layer (thickness) during transportation and/or handling. A dust-free plate allows convenient handling and avoids silica contamination in the TLC developing chamber.

Increased detection sensitivity
In addition to the advantages of the optimized binder system the UV indicator of the ADAMANT features an increased brilliance which, in combination with the lownoise background, results in an increased detection sensitivity. Thus ADAMANT is especially suited for trace analysis.
INCREASED SEPARATION EFFICIENCY
Compared to the most commonly used plates on the market, ADAMANT shows improved separation efficiency, because the particle size distribution of the silica has been optimized, resulting in a higher number of theoretical plates.
NANOCOLOR Potassium 50 (REF 985045) has been improved. The change is introduced from LOT 45004, which is available from stock as of 20th July 2020.
The test is now produced with an integrated ammonium compensation. The modified recipe allows a simple determination of potassium in the presence of an ammonium interference up to a concentration of 200 mg/L NH4-N, which is unique in the market.
The use of the additional ammonium compensation reagent (REF 918045) is therefore no longer necessary. Additional information on this topic will be part of our upcoming water news mailing.

The NANOCOLOR® 500 D filter photometer is being phased out this year after more than 10 years on the market. Currently, a certain, but limited, number of devices is still available. Macherey Nagel will continue to offer support for the device. Spare parts will still be available.
The NANOCOLOR® 500 D will be replaced by the new device, the NANOCOLOR®Advance. Information is an upcoming instrument soon.
