About the range:
KitLab, supplied by Camlab is a modular range of laboratory furniture. It is composed of high quality materials and its main benefit is that it is very easy to install and assemble. Its modular design allows for easy upgrade and expansions to reflect any changing needs of the lab. Kitlab is highly customisable with a choice of colours and many additional extras that can be purchased. If you require customisation to your pieces, please contact us for assistance. The Kitlab range comprises of benches, cabinets, cupboards, sinks and more, including any extra fittings required.
Kitlab benches are 900mm high as standard and constructed of laminate with areas coated in water-resistant white melamine with any edges covered in plastic.
Weighing tables with skirting features a hollow laminate worktop with a 45 x 45 cm cutout containing heavy duty granite slab (maximum supported weight is 80kg). This granite slab is also support by an extra metal frame. Each weighing table with skirting shelf is available in a choice of two depths – 750mm (featuring a 600mm deep metal sub frame) or 900mm (featuring a 750mm deep metal sub frame). The width of the skirting shelf is 160mm including a 10mm overhang.
Each bench is supplied with:

The following bench pieces are also available. Each piece is available with and without a skirting shelf.
Kitlab furniture is available with a choice of benchtop materials. This is a breakdown of the key features of each type:
Moulded Laminate - Suitable for labs in which non-corrosive materials are being used, such as microscopy rooms, physics and electronics laboratories and benches where instruments are stored. This benchtop has white-fronted rounded edges.
Enamelled Glass – This material is highly resistant to corrosive materials and temperature fluctuations. Its seam free and water tight design make it easy to clean and decontaminate, making this material particularly well suited to biology, bacteriology and life science labs. It has a high temperature resistance up to 270°C, is shock resistant and resistant to many corrosive chemicals (note: not resistant to HF acid). It is composed of 6mm thick opal coloured enamelled glass bonded to a waterproof chipboard layer with a white PVC edge on the front.
TRESPA - A solid grade material based on thermosetting resins- homogeneously reinforced with cellulose fibres. Scratch, wear and impact resistant. Colourfast. Temperature resistant to 180°C for 15 minutes without change. Resistant to dry heat (BS3794). TRESPA can be used in areas where laboratory chemicals, solvents, disinfectants, dye stuffs and bleaching agents are likely to be used.
Sandstone (Earthenware)- is especially suited to chemical lab due to its high level of resistance to acids (except HF acid) and alkalis. This benchtop is composed of a non-porous earthenware tile bonded to a 19mm thick water resistant backing complete with silicone sealing. It is edged with white PVC to the front.
