Alpha Solway Complete Qualitative Fit Test Kits

Complete kits for qualitative fit testing of respirator masks. Includes everything required to conduct a fit test - required in all industries where tight-fitting facepieces are used as a control measure. Suitable for assessment of disposable respirators and half face masks. These testing solutions are available in two ‘flavours’ – Bitrex is bitter and a sweet saccharin containing flavour. 

Includes hood, two nebulisers, 12 x 2.5ml sensitivity and fit test solution ampules and user instructions. These kits are also available packed in a plastic carry case as an option. 

Fit Testing Requirements

If your company uses tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE) then a fit test is a legal requirement. The fit test functions to ensure the mask correctly fits the wearer’s face and therefore is able to provide its stated respiratory protection. Ill-fitting masks will not have the required tight seal and are leaky and vulnerable to bypass by contaminants. 

Mask types that require a fit test are:

• Disposable respirators (Qualitative or Quantitative test)
• Re-useable half face masks (Qualitative or Quantitative test)
• Re-useable full face masks (Quantitative test only)
