Macherey-Nagel cellulose 300/400 TLC plates with and without UV indicator

Cellulose MN 300 - Native fibrous cellulose layers for TLC. Fibre length (95 %) 2-20 μm, average degree of polymerisation 400-500, specific surface acc. to Blaine 15000 cm2/g ≤20 ppm Fe, 6 ppm Cu, 7 ppm P; dichloromethane extract less than or equal to 0.25%; residue on ignition at 850°C ≤1500 ppm. Available as glass plates, Polygram polyester sheets and Alugram aluminium sheets. Recommended application: partition chromatography of polar substances such as amino acids, carboxylic acids or carbohydrates

Cellulose MN 400 (AVICEL) - Microcrystalline cellulose layers for TLC. Prepared by hydrolysis of high purity cellulose with HCl; mean degree of polymerisation 40-200. Available as glass plates and Polygram polyester sheets. Recommended application: carboxylic acids, lower alcohols, urea and purine derivatives

Cellulose MN 300 DEAE - DEAE-modified cellulose ion exchange layers for TLC. Fibrous cellulose modified with diethylaminoethyl groups: R - O - C2H4 - N(C2H5)2 Available as Polygram polyester sheets without fluorescent indicator. Mixed layers of cellulose MN 300 DEAE and high purity cellulose MN 300 HR are recommended for separation of mono- and oligonucleotides in nucleic acid hydrolysates.

Recommended application: analysis of nucleic acids, and of mutagenic substances with the 32P postlabelling procedure.

Cellulose MN 300 AC - Acetylated cellulose layers for TLC. Fibrous cellulose with 10 or 20 % content of acetylated cellulose available as glass plates and Polygram polyester sheets. Recommended application: reversed phase chromatography
