Van Driver / Warehouse Operative

  • Temp to perm
  • Full time 37.5 hours per week
  • £16-17k dependent on experience
  • 25+ days holiday, pension scheme, private medical cover, flexible benefits

Be part of the Warehouse Operations Team in a customer facing role, within a forward thinking organisation going through a growth phase. The Warehouse team takes full responsibility for the company’s reputation with all items being Received, Picked, Stored, Assembled, Packed, Sent and Delivered from the warehouse, and are encouraged to suggest improvements to working practices.

Essential; Full UK Drivers Licence, previous experience of working in a warehouse or warehouse environment preferably in a warehouse operative or van driving role, good health and fitness

Desirable; Forklift licence/experience (training can be provided if required), ‘Order Picker’ licence, Math’s and English GCSE’s (or equivalent), Familiarity with SAP Business One, Previous experience with risk assessments both writing and following, Knowledge of Excel, Knowledge of Outlook, diary management, emails and tasks

Product Manager / Trainee Product Manager

Main Job Purpose; To enable the profitable increase in sales of key product lines through catalogue, web and media promotion, whilst making continuous improvements to the product portfolio to ensure the greatest return, exposure and benefit to the company. To ensure total customer satisfaction for the assigned product portfolios, through the provision of product information, technical support, social media content, advertising and marketing materials. 

The successful applicant will be expected to drive the sales through a variety of channels including our UK sales force, export department and international distributors. Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills are essential to working well across departments and with our international suppliers and partners

Essential; Degree in Sciences e.g. chemistry or biochemistry, or experience as a laboratory technician in life sciences, environment, food testing, QC or other industrial processes. Good verbal communication skills and excellent telephone manner. Strong written communcation, with the ability to describe scientific techniques and instruments in clear terms as blogs, how-to guides, emails and other marketing materials. 

Desirable; Previous sales, web, marketing or general business qualifications and/or experience would be an advantage. Skills in Excel, Powerpoint, Quark express, Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator would be an advantage. Knowledge of web development, e-commerce, blog writing, SEO and HTML would be an advantage.

Repair Engineer / Trainee Field Engineer

  • £18-21k dependent on experience

This is a new position in the company which is being created to help support our planned growth. Whilst this person will initially spend most of their time in our repair shop, once trained they will be spending some of their time at customer sites. The person will take on responsibility for the calibration and maintenance where there are multiple units on a single customer site. The amount of time spent on customer sites will vary greatly from week to week and it is expected that the person will spend an increasing number of days away from home.

Key tasks; organise site visits by liaising directly with customers, completing and issuing all required calibration certificates in a timely manner, completing all paperwork properly in a timely manner including on the SAP and Coresuite programs, responding to customer enquiries quickly and effectively, suggesting and implementing new ways to improve our overall service offering.

Knowledge and experience; must have the ability to develop into a field engineer, ability/experience of working on customer premises, experience of electrical and mechanical equipment repairs, software application experience, experience of laboratory equipment an advantage, knowledge of UKAS or ISO 17025 accreditations an advantage.
