Owing to their extremely high purity, Whatman seed testing papers provide reliable and reproducible results.
Whatman Seed testing papers are available in a range of grades, and in pleated strips and circles for each of the ISTA test methods (TP = top of paper, BP = between paper, PP = pleated paper).
Grade 181 - support filter for seed tests using the copenhagen tank system. 90mm circular filters.
Grade 3014 - pleated strips for testing particularly sensitive seeds. Suited for medium-large and coated seeds (e.g. sugar beet, fodder beet, grain, sunflower, rapeseed, mustard). Suitable for the PP method.
Grade 3236 - pleated strips for seed testing by the PP method. For medium-large and coated seeds (e.g. sugar beet, fodder beet, grain, sunflower, rapeseed, mustard).
Grade 3644 - sheets for testing by the TP method. Coloured blue for better contrast of fine rootlets.
Grade 3645 - yellow sheets for testing by the TP method, particularly suited to seeds with small white rootlets.
All papers are made from pure cellulose without any additives and do not contain any substances which could influence the growth of the seeds.
The constant water absorption of the papers ensures the continuous provision of the required amount of water.
The better contrast of the coloured seed testing papers makes evaluation easier, particularly for seeds with fine white rootlets or under artificial light. This makes work easier, improves the results and saves time. The dyes used have been thoroughly investigated and have no influence on the growth of the seeds.
