Whatman Grade GF/B glass micro fibre filter papers, with nominal partical retention of 1.0µm, are three times thicker than Whatman GF/A papers, have higher wet strength and significantly increased loading capacity.
GF/A filters combine fine particle retention with good flow rate. Particularly useful where liquid clarification or solids quantification is required for heavily loaded fine particulate suspensions. These glass microfibre filter papers can be used as a finely retentive membrane prefilter. Used in LSC techniques where high loading capacity is required.
Liquid scintillation counting requires a fine particle filter, preferably with a high loading capacity. Grade GF/B filters from Cytiva are ideal for this and similar applications such as waste characterization and liquid clarification for suspended solids analysis.
