Borosilicate glass vessels for use with the range of PTFE plungers in plain or serrated tip versions.
Tissue grinders are used in the controlled reduction of particle size and homogenisation of a range of substances, particularly biological samples. The shearing forces between the rotating plunger and the glass tube bring about the size reduction and homogenisation.
This page shows the glass vessels only - please select a compatible PTFE plunger from the ranges linked on the right hand side.
These glass vessels have been precisely sized to give clearance between the plunger head and the tube of only 0.15 to 0.25mm for optimal homogenisation of samples.
The volumes stated are the working volumes with plunger in place.
