For The Semi-Quantitative Determination Of Ions
Rapid
Most of the QUANTOFIXtest strips can be carried out in 10-120 seconds. That makes the application very quick for the end user.
Convenient
All QUANTOFIXtests are ready to use kits. They are precalibrated and contain all necessary equipment and reagents.
Precise
The colour charts are adjusted and checked using certified standard solutions that are directly traceable to primary NIST standards. The user can be sure to receive accurate readings whenever he tests.
A QUANTOFIX test stick consists of a plastic strip of 0.2mm thickness to which, at the lower end, a test paper has been sealed. The size of the test paper area permits a clear comparison with the fields of equal size of the colour scale provided on the plastic box. The length of the test sticks is sufficient to permit easy handling even in cases where aggressive or otherwise noxious solutions are to be tested.
The plug of the vial contains a desiccant for increased shelf life of the sticks.

Disinfectant testing- Rapid Tests for Healthcare
Health care professionals use different types of disinfectants and sanitizers for general disinfection and for cleaning of medical devices. Prior to the disinfection of devices, it proved useful to control the potency of the disinfection baths. After disinfection, all devices have to be rinsed and controlled for sanitizer residues prior to the next use. Dip & Read tests allow the quick and easy detection of sanitizer residues. These test strips increase patient safety while making healthcare professionals’ work easier and more efficient.
The QUANTOFIX® Relax allows the automatic reading of QUANTOFIX® test strips. Just place the strip on the strip adaptor and the Relax will give a precise and reliable result within seconds. The results are printable, saved internally and can be transmitted to a PC.

NANOCOLOR Potassium 50 (REF 985045) has been improved. The change is introduced from LOT 45004, which is available from stock as of 20th July 2020.
The test is now produced with an integrated ammonium compensation. The modified recipe allows a simple determination of potassium in the presence of an ammonium interference up to a concentration of 200 mg/L NH4-N, which is unique in the market.
The use of the additional ammonium compensation reagent (REF 918045) is therefore no longer necessary. Additional information on this topic will be part of our upcoming water news mailing.
Please note, that the test procedure has changed.
An update of the photometers is not required.
Please find the new product information within the following link.
Note: Please save your special methods and measurement data prior to the update. More information can be found in the customer information
For old photometers (PF-11 etc.) asking for blank guidance is available here.
Update October 2020
The Uk government offered a VAT holiday on PPE products from1st of May to 31st of October. so this is now coming to an end and VAT wil charged on Goods from 2pm on th 30th October. Ay goods not shipped by the 30th October will be subject to VAT. This is due to VAT being applied at the point of invoice whioch is generated on shipping the goods from our warehouse. Customers affected will be contacted.
Dear Customer,
In these unprecedented times we have to deal with more product supply restrictions, price increases and surcharges being placed on our purchase orders for goods, particularly for critical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
It is important to note that many of these products are bought in foreign currency (dollars and euros) and due to recent large movements in exchange rate this has also negatively impacted the sterling cost price resulting in selling price increases. We intend to continue to provide all our main brands at normal list prices for as long as we can at this time although it is now clear that due to shortages and high demand national governments are restricting access to PPE products and in some cases applying additional export surcharges. Main manufacturers are also being asked to prioritise front line care workers.
Unfortunately from this point on we will have to include any additional government or increased freight surcharges applied to these products. To help mitigate such increases we are setting up a PPE sourcing team to try and find alternative global manufacturers of these types of products in short supply to be able to offer our customers alternative similar products. We hope to be able to find cost effective alternatives and we are happy to work with our customers purchasing departments to try and negotiate bulk discount prices.
As they become available we will list them here https://www.camlab.co.uk/products/products-in-stock
Although we now have to pass on increases and surcharges please be assured that we are not inflating our profits. We are doing our best to overcome shortages by sourcing products from alternative suppliers of PPE, but in some cases the prices of these products are significantly above normal due to demand and in other cases they do not meet the correct PPE regulations that could put the public or medical professionals at risk if sold improperly. We are working with Trading Standards Institute (TSI) and the British Safety Industry federation (BSIF) by reporting these suppliers/providers who we believe are wrongly exploiting the current situation.
Unfortunately we are also finding that unscrupulous suppliers are offering us counterfeit products. Camlab is a member of the BSIF and we are working closely with them to ensure the items we source and sell are properly CE EN/149 rated and tested accordingly. Please note that category III products require much stricter requirements including ongoing market surveillance. Reporting and documentation retention is considerably more onerous on manufactures, suppliers and customers for Health and Safety records, recall, notification and withdrawal purposes.
We wish all our customers well in these trying times and hope we can all return to business as normal as soon as possible
