Isostatically moulded from pure PTFE- these beakers are inert- have a pouring spout- and a super smooth internal finish. The base is machined flat for good heat transfer and can be used at temperatures up to 280°C.
The chemical resistance of PTFE is almost total over it's working temperature range. Reaction is limited to some compounds with free electrons such as sodium in liquid ammonia and some fluorine compounds in liquid ammonia and some fluorine compounds at high temperature and pressure. Halogens will penetrate PTFE but without apparent reaction.
Opaque PTFE beakers Rigid and non-porous with a smooth surface
Are efficient substitutes folatinum
Can withstand temperatures up to 280°C
It is NOT advisable to use PTFE beakers on a hotplate as fluorine can be emitted at high temperatures.
