Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) is an important measurement parameter for anyone discharging effluent or running a waste water treatment plant. It is a difficult test to run and there are very few resources online which help new users get to grips with the technique.

Lovibond BD 600 Series
The BD 600 is a respirometric system for the determination of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD). The BD600 is equipped with an automatic start feature, measurement does not start until the temperature in the samples is the same as that in the thermostatically controlled cabinet. The system comes with all you need for analysis of 1-6 samples.
WTW Oxitop System
The unique feature of this system is that the heads contain the sensor and a measuring unit for independent setting and recording allowing a more flexible system. Options include:

Both bespoke systems have an extensive selection of accessories which includes their own brown glass flasks, overflow measuring flasks, stirring unit and reagents such as nitrification inhibitor and potassium hydroxide solution 45%. A thermostatic cabinet is an additional consideration.
