Cadmium 0.5-10ug/l
A range of sensors available to measure lead and cadmium heavy metals on the Palintest Kemio Heavy Metal unit:
Each box of the sensors is labelled with a QR code. This is scanned by the Kemio unit allowing for the input of batch information. Each pack also contains a barcode which validates the test type, range and expirydate. This is also used to match the sensor to the calibration information, confirming the test and only allowing testing to proceed if calibrations match. This means that only the correct sensor will work for each test. Sensors are single use. They can be disposed of with normal waste. If you plan to store your sensors for over a year, keep them in a fridge to ensure they reach their expiry date.
Kemio Disinfection is being used to help combat the spread of Covid-19. Therefore, we have put together a list of top questions that people ask about using Kemio for disinfection verification with Covid-19.
Can Kemio be used with hazmat protection?
Yes, Kemio is a truly simple test method which can be used whilst wearing full protective gear. The touchscreen is suitable with gloves to enable you to select the correct test. For performing the test, you must simply fill up the sample, insert a sensor and close the lid; within 60 seconds your result will appear.
Do I need to dilute my sample before measurement?
Kemio can test free chlorine samples up to 25 mg/L, and therefore no dilution is required.
Chlorine sensors are available in two ranges depending on your application:
How do I clean my Kemio to ensure that traces of virus do not remain?
Kemio is IP67 rated and therefore can be thoroughly cleaned. A 75% alcohol spray should be used to clean the full kit and instrument, including the sensor contacts.
Special attention should be given to the sample tray which has been used to hold samples which may contain the virus. Palintest recommend that the sample tray is submerged into 75% alcohol cleaning solution or chlorine solution (1000 mg/L) for 30 minutes.
