The Digital Electronic Chiller/Heater has an alpha numeric digital display to show target and actual temperatures and countdown timer. A lamp indicates when the buffer is collecting data, and when the buffer is full of data to be downloaded. Includes an RS232C interface and can be programmed to run ramp and soak cycles of any frequency or duration.

The chilling/heating surface is a flat aluminium plate ideally sized for a 96-well assay plate. Unloaded, the surface will reach below 0°C in under two minutes, and to +37°C in even less time. The rate of chilling or heating is load dependant, for example, temperatures of 4.0°C can be reached on a solid aluminium block 10.2cm x 7.6cm x 15.2cm in less than an hour.
