Range Overview:

The Hanna Instruments HI-977 range is comprised of a comprehensive selection of advanced waterproof portable photometers. Most meters in the range have the ability to measure single testing parameters with a few multi-parameter meters completing the selection. Each photometer is designed with an innovative optical system that offers superior performance in accuracy, repeatability, and the amount of time that it takes to do a measurement. Meters are simple and straightforward to use, with a large LCD display and intuitive interface.

Measures Cyanide (0.00 - 0.200 mg/l)
Easy to use. Each photometer is very intuitive and even has a tutorial mode for step-by-step instructions. Other user friendly features include error message displays when somethings wrong, built in reaction timer from reagent addition to when measurement is to be taken and display of the unit of measure along with the reading.
Robust and waterproof. This meter will float if dropped in water and is IP67 rated. The internal optics are sealed from outside dust, dirt, and water.
Large backlit LCD display (71 x 37mm) for ease of viewing in almost all light conditions.
Portable sized- fits comfortably in your hand for field use but will also fit on a table for benchtop use.
Utilises a high efficiency LED light source which offers superior performance compared to tungsten lamps. LEDs have a much higher luminous efficiency, providing more light while using less power. They also produce little heat, which could otherwise affect electronic stability.
High quality filters ensure greater wavelength accuracy and allow a brighter, stronger signal to be received. The end result is higher measurement stability and less wavelength error.
Large cuvette size with 25mm path length. The relatively long path length of the sample cuvette allows the light to pass through more of the sample solution, ensuring accurate measurements even in low absorbance samples.
GLP data – recall the last 50 measurements on screen along with date of last calibration.
Cal check functionality - validate the performance of the instrument at any time and apply a user calibration using CAL Check cuvettes made with NIST traceable standards. (Please note, CAL check standards are only included in the kit options. Otherwise they must be purchased separately to take advantage of this feature)

Servicing Options Available

Have you considered your servicing requirements? Much like a car, scientific instruments may need a bit of care to keep them working reliably and at their most accurate.

The Camlab Service Department have over 60 years experience in scientific instrumentation. We have a number of highly qualified internal and field-based service engineers able to perform a variety of jobs including preventative maintenance servicing and calibration.

Camlab can offer yearly service contracts which include two main types of preventative maintenance/calibration services – the back to base service and an engineer visit to your site. These options are can be offered with differing turn around times depending on the instrument type and your requirements along with loan instruments if available.

A typical preventative maintenance service includes the following:

Inspection and testing of the unit

Dismantling, cleaning and inspection of the key parts

Correction of minor defects including adjustments if necessary

Reassembly and testing

Take post adjustment / cleaning readings

Supply of calibration certificate

Return of the item to you (back to base services)

Can I buy chemicals as a private individual?
The majority of chemicals can be purchased by private individuals but there are a number of products which are restricted for a number of reasons. These include Hazardous chemicals, weapon and drug precursor chemicals and other restricted chemicals.

What's the process for buying Chemicals?
Business User - You should have an account with Camlab so we can verify your status, for online purchases you need to be registered on the website against that business account and logged in. For hazardous and restricted chemicals you may need to undergo an additional check. To facilitate this you should provide a company number when making a purchase. New companies or sole traders may need to provide additional proof of a trading business to ensure we can fulfil your delivery.

Private user - For the purchase of Non-Hazardous chemicals you should be a registered user of the website and be logged in to make these purchases.

Guest checkouts for hazardous or restricted chemicals will be cancelled and refunded.

Delivery to Home addresses?
Camlab use a specialist chemicals courier to deliver chemicals, they will not deliver any hazardous chemicals to a residential address. These must be sent to a business address.
