The Hach DR1900 spectrophotometer is ideal for the field and is designed to go where you need to go.
Water testing in the field takes you to potentially dusty and wet conditions where less rugged equipment simply will not last. The Hach DR 1900 is built with the field user in mind the instrument has a large easy-to-ready screen and a simple user interface that makes testing easier than ever, even in the harshest conditions.
Underneath the rugged exterior, the spectrophotometer has over 220 of the most commonly tested water methods already built in. If you want, use the easy-to-use interface to create your own methods to test what is important to you.
Tests are performed with a wavelength range of 340 to 800 nm which make this a field instrument you can use to find results typically only seen in laboratory instruments.

Have you considered your servicing requirements? Much like a car, scientific instruments may need a bit of care to keep them working reliably and at their most accurate.
The Camlab Service Department have over 60 years experience in scientific instrumentation. We have a number of highly qualified internal and field-based service engineers able to perform a variety of jobs including preventative maintenance servicing and calibration.
Camlab can offer yearly service contracts which include two main types of preventative maintenance/calibration services – the back to base service and an engineer visit to your site. These options are can be offered with differing turn around times depending on the instrument type and your requirements along with loan instruments if available.
A typical preventative maintenance service includes the following: Inspection and testing of the unit
Dismantling, cleaning and inspection of the key parts
Correction of minor defects including adjustments if necessary
Reassembly and testing
Take post adjustment / cleaning readings
Supply of calibration certificate
Return of the item to you (back to base services)

Hach have a wide variety of sample cells for use in their colorimeters and spectrophotometers. The correct type of sample cell that is required for every method programme with each compatible instrument will be detailed at the start of the method sheet. Here, any adapters that may be required along with any extra equipment needed to perform the test will also be listed. This is the typical form...
A.Trying to pick out the correct test can prove to be a challenge. There are a number of different tests available from Hach to test for Iron and you will need to select the most appropriate test for the specific form of iron you are testing for. Iron can be present in natural and treated water. The presence of excess iron can have negative impacts for instance insoluble deposits (rust) can ...
The chemical reaction, known as the Maillard reaction, between amino acids and reducing sugars gives your beer the identifiable brown and amber hues. Not only is the colour important by effecting the consumer's sensory anticipation of the beer's taste, monitoring the colour will also help diagnose if there are any issues in the production of the beer. To maintain the same high quality be...
Spectrophotometers are relied on by a wide range of laboratories, for tests ranging from specific parameters, like chlorine or metals concentrations, right through to complex analyses of reaction kinetics. When choosing a spectrophotometer the range of specifications and price is vast, so take the time to list the features you need before you buy and make sure you choose the right one. [c...
The new Hach Dr3900 spectrophotometer replaces the popular Hach DR2800 spectrophotometer. The DR 3900 employs the latest RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) technology to ensure that an accurate, reliable, traceable record is created for every sample.
