These large capacity Soxhlet extractors have flat flange joints to permit introduction of large samples. They should be used in conjuntions with with flat flange lid and retaining clip which can be ordered separately.
Invented by Franz von Soxhlet in 1879, the Soxhlet extractor is used to extract soluble components from a solid by repeatedly soaking the solid in solvent vapour.
These complete Soxhlet extraction assemblies comprise all the glass components necessary to perform a solid-liquid extraction, including the extractor, condenser and evaporating flask.

These large capacity extractors have a flat flange top joint to permit the introduction of large samples into the extractor body. The flat flange lid and metal retaining clamp are available separately.
