These Soxhlet extractors are ideal for extracting soluble components or impurities from solids via repeated soaking/siphoning with solvent.
They each feature accurately formed concentric siphon tubes for reliable performance. There is a wide choice of extractors to accommodate most sizes of sample and thimbles. Conform to BS 2071.
Invented by Franz von Soxhlet in 1879, the Soxhlet extractor is used to extract soluble components from a solid by repeatedly soaking the solid in solvent vapour.
These complete Soxhlet extraction assemblies comprise all the glass components necessary to perform a solid-liquid extraction, including the extractor, condenser and evaporating flask.

These large capacity extractors have a flat flange top joint to permit the introduction of large samples into the extractor body. The flat flange lid and metal retaining clamp are available separately.
