Desiccator, Polypropylene lower section with polycarbonate cover.
A neoprene 'O' ring sits in a groove in the base unit to provide an excellent seal with the cover. Use a small amount of grease on the O-ring to help establish a secure vacuum.
The desiccators will hold a vacuum of 740mm of mercury (29 ) for 24 hours (loss not exceeding 20mm/Hg). A removable pan holds calcium chloride or other drying agent.
Vacuum release tap/non return valve assembly is included; specially grooved stopper in this assembly allows air, when required, to be re-admitted very slowly to avoid disturbing the contents. Usage Instructions: • remove the cover in PC - insert the samples in the pan • open the vacuum retention valve (PE needle) connect the tube of the pump to the dessiccator spigot in order to create vacuum • close the vacuum retention valve Tubing of 8.5 to 10mm bore will fit onto the valve to apply vacuum.
