These ready to use pouches contain silica gel and can be used in desiccators, cabinets or cases where laboratory instruments are stored.
The silica gel beads change to a pink colour when saturated. Transparent polystyrene dish allows the user to instantly see the silica and determine if the cartridge needs changing. Cartridges are supplied individually sealed and ready to use.
The cartridges can be regenerated by gently heating overnight at 150ºC in an oven. For quicker regeneration the silica gel can be removed and placed in a glass or porcelain dish then heated to 150ºC for 1-2 hours. Alternatively the cartridges can be disposed of after use.
The silica gel is non-toxic, non-corrosive and inert.
