The new TV100 dual mini vertical gel system enhances both resolution and usability for precast and handcast polyacrylamide gels

PRECAST GELS

Compatible with the majority of commercially available precast gels (10cm x 10cm), quick release gel clamping system for easy gel access, enhanced cooling improves gel resolution.

HANDCAST GELS

The gel casting system has been modified to make it more user friendly casting and running are performed in the same module to eliminate glass plate transfer and ultra soft silicone casting seals prevent gel leakage.

The new parallel clamping mechanism ensures even pressure is imparted onto the gel cassettes or glass plates thus eliminating any undue pressure on the gel and preventing lane distortions. The gels are fully submerged in running buffer during electrophoresis, evenly distributing the heat generated and limiting band distortion.

To further enhance resolution or to reduce run times, additional cooling is provided in the super-cooled tank option (TV100K). The TV100K can be connected to a recirculating chiller (K-ELECTRO4) which will keep the temperature of the running buffer below room temperature.

The handcast option comes complete with all necessary accessories and glass plates with bonded spacers are included as standard, removing the need to align the spacers manually. Asymmetric offset of electrode terminals prevents accidental polarity reversal.
