Implosion proof desiccator with a polypropylene (PP) lower section with polycarbonate (PC) cover.
The PC cover seals onto a neoprene 'O' ring, which sits in a groove in the PP base unit to provide an excellent seal with the cover. Use a small amount of grease on the O-ring to help in establishing an initial vacuum. Within the desiccator is a removable pan for holding a drying agent.
The desiccators will hold a vacuum of -740mm Hg with loss not exceeding 20mm HG in 24 hours.
Vacuum release tap/non return valve assembly is included; specially grooved stopper in this assembly allows air, when required, to be re-admitted very slowly to avoid disturbing the contents. Usage Instructions:
Tubing of 8.5 to 10mm bore will fit onto the valve to apply vacuum.
