INDICATOR STRIPS
Take hold of upper end of the indicator strip and immerse for 1 to 2 seconds to a sufficient depth to wet all colour strips. The upper part of the paper strip is separated by a hydrophobic zone, making it possible to work cleanly and safely. Compare the indicator colouring with the colour zones - preferably against the light, and allocate to a specific colour field. Read off the appropriate pH value on the
carton. If the buffer is weak, keep immersed until colour equilibrium has been obtained, which can take a few minutes.
INDICATOR ROLLS


Turn the dispenser cap anti-clockwise and pull out the required length of indicator strip. After turning the dispenser cap back to its original position remove the strip and then immerse for 1 or 2 seconds in the test solution. The wet strip is now compared with the colour scale and allocated to the appropriate pH value. If weak or non-buffered solutions have to be tested on pH paper, it is advisable to attach the strip to the inside of the test-tube, fill the test-tube with the test fluid and after approx. 1 minute compare the strip whilst it is still in the test-tube with the colour scale on the box.
Owing to its high sensitivity, the dry, unused pH paper may show some signs of discolouration, but this will not affect its capability.
