CMU metal-cased uncontrolled heating mantles are used in wet chemistry to heat liquids in round bottom flasks. They are ideal for remote working or for use in fume hoods. The metal case is designed to remain 'cool-to-the-touch' when in operation.
CMU metal-cased uncontrolled heating mantles are used in wet chemistry to heat liquids in round bottom flasks. The metal case is designed to remain "cool-to-the-touch" when in operation.
Additionally, they have a stainless steel grounded earth screen covering the element and are double-fused for added safety. In the event of any liquid spillage, the heating mantles automatically cut out to protect the user from electric shocks.

- Round bottom flask capacities of between 50ml to 5000ml
- Element temperatures up to 450°C
- Built-in energy regulator
- Indicator lamps for power and heater operation
- Replaceable insulated heater cartridge
- Easy to clean powder coated aluminium casing
- "Cool-to-touch" exterior
- Non-skid feet and support clamps
- Flexible coiled heating elements absorb shock, minimising the risk of flask breakage
- Heating element is attached to a rigid thermal insulating cartridge to ensure maximum heat transfer and support
- Added safety features such as grounded earth screen and double fuses
